Who we are

This website is managed on behalf of the Romanian Aid Foundation in accordance with its established policies and procedures. Information here concerns our activites in the UK, in Romania and in other locations where appropriate.

With the exception of the circumstances described below, the Romanian Aid Foundation does not make active use of cookies on any of our websites. Internet service providers and browsers may install cookies for their own purposes but the Romanian Aid Foundation does not access these cookies and has no control over them.

Casual Visitors

Our sites are not open to receive visitors’ comments. The number of visitors to each page is recorded but we retain no personal information about casual (unregistered) visitors.

Registered Contributors

Registration is by invitation only

For users that register on our website, we may also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we may set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we may also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. When you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed. If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you have just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Photographs and Similar Material

Photographs are integral and essential tools in encouraging support for our humanitarian activities. In the case of registered beneficiaries, consent for the appropriate use of photographs is included in the contract of registration. We may also show photographs of our activities, including school based activities where teachers and/or parents have given consent. Any photographs causing offence will be removed or altered if so requested.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.) or links to other relevant websites. Content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
